Not long ago I saw the old Morton salt container that has the girl with the umbrella and salt pouring out behind her as she is walking through the rain. I wondered if Morton salt had a revelation of the salt of the earth and the latter rain. After studying the Morton salt company I found out that in the late 1800s salt would clump up and not pour when it would rain outside the humidity would get in the salt and cause it to harden. Morton salt co. added a substance and grinded the salt into smaller Chrystal's, ending the problem with salt clumping during humid weather, Thus the saying "when it rains it pours." The Lord told me where sin did abound grace did that much more abound. Through faith in Christ Jesus, we can pour out his grace even when sin is on the rise.
My little girl Holly wrote this poem, called "The Rain," she didn't understand what she had written but when I read it I was amazed at the outpouring of Gods spirit.
Its the sound it makes when it first hits the outside of your window (Mal 3:10 2kings 7:1-19 Isaiah 44:1-3 Acts 2:15-18) Its the way it looks falling down, gentle and slow then it hits the ground. It splashes making look as if it were coming from underneath rather than up above. (John 13:31 John 8:23) Its a feeling of calmness and some kind of relief. (Ps 72) Then you go out and stand in the middle of it all you can hear and feal it hit your body now every strand of hair is soaking wet and is sticking to your face. (Eph 2:11-18 Luke 21:18 1cor 13:12) its not just your hair, now every inch of you is drenched (Mt 5:45 Heb 6:7) and then you smile, stick your arms out, and start spinning around in circles. (2Kings 2:1-11) you cant help but laugh (2cor 12:1-5) It's a feeling of joy and happiness. (Job 37) Now there's thunder, so loud it makes the entire earth shake. (John 12:26-29 Joel 3:16-17 Heb 12:25-29 rev 10) your scared because you know now that there is about to be lightening you just don't know where it's going to hit. (Job 37:4-5 Luke 17:22-37 Rev 10:1-7) Its a feeling of worry, finally it stops and the world seems to stop moving you look up toward the sky and it's something more beautiful than life, a hill filled with all the colors, something so large you can't see the beginning to the end. (Lk 21:26 Heb 12:18-22 Rev 21 Ez 1:26-28) Then you stop and think are you ever gonna feel this way again? It's a feeling of all the emotions rolled up in one and it's beautiful. (Ps 48:1-20)
Take the time to read James 5:7-18 and Gen 9:13-16 This rain will be a flood of Gods truth and Gods love prepare by repenting of your sins and being baptized in Jesus name and asking God to fill you with his Holy spirit.
In the peace of our Lord Jesus Christ
